PRIME Alliance is pleased to announce the webinar on “One BPL Standard for Europe & Update on E.ON Progress in BPL Rollout g.hn” on May 27, from 11:00 to 12:00 CET.

The session will be held in collaboration with E.ON, and presented by Markus Hofsaess (Performance and Availability Manager).

The share of renewable energy in the EU has been increasing significantly for years. Especially in Central and Southern European countries, decentralized generation from photovoltaics and wind power at lower voltage levels is already significant, accounting for more than 60%, and will increase significantly in the coming years.

To manage this growth and the associated volatility, it is necessary to monitor and control both consumption and generation at all levels, including smart metering. However, this requires significantly more bandwidth in communication technologies than has been the case in many applications to date.

Broadband Powerline provides a both cost-effective and technically stable basis for this. This webinar will demonstrate which influences must be considered when using BPL technology and why a European standard is necessary from both a safety and cost perspective.
